JG Vertical was engaged to assist in facade remediation works on the Kingsley Hotel in Newcastle, a landmark adaptive reuse development of the former Council Administration Building. Working alongside the principal contractor, our team provided specialist rope access and remediation support to address external facade defects, including concrete repair, surface treatment and masonry restoration. The works were carried out on a live, operational site requiring careful coordination and controlled access methods to maintain safety and minimise disruption.

Scope of Work

Pre-inspection site assessments and coordination with project stakeholders

Development of safe rope access methodologies for facade remediation

Identification and mapping of external concrete and masonry defects

Planning of staged remediation works in a live commercial environment

Implementation of rope access systems for full facade access

Coordination with builders and specialist applicators for restoration works
